Ortho-Bionomy is an Osteopathically based non-force technique. It is gentle, effective and profound. It was created by Arthur Lincoln Pauls DO, who was also a Judo Master. Having its roots in both Osteopathy and Martial Arts Ortho-Bionomy is principle based work, which provides clear techniques and room for creativity. This class will cover the history and foundational principles of Ortho-Bionomy. There will be demonstrations and hands on practice of techniques for the psoas and the lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine. Participants will leave with tools they can use in their practices as well as principles to explore. This approach is as gentle on the practitioner as it is on the client. It saves a therapists hands from strain and provides a tool to work deeply when the client is too sensitive for direct pressure. It mixes beautifully with Massage Therapy and other modalities.
